The bird house itself if very pretty to look at. Definitely worth the buy just for that alone. There were four pencil sized holes from removed screws at the bottom of the house on two side walls. I wish these pieces had been flipped to put those four holes at the top to serve as ventilation vs a draft/leak issue. Any bird keeper knows that venting is good but direct drafts are deadly. The door that opens is tricky and not good for the elderly or physically limited. Both of those issues are easily fixed with some wood filler, weather proofing stain, and a small handle to make the door easier to maneuver. I brought my concerns to the seller who responded quickly. The bird house arrived quickly and is fairly well made. For those who are looking for a nice, reclaimed wood, style house this is perfect. It is spacious and quaint.
