Papua New Guinea Paper Creaser with Ethnographic designs, circa 1850

Wonderful Carved Wood Paper and plant material creaser and plaiter with carved handle in Seated man form, over a stylized vine S device on front and reverse. Beautiful age and patina. I believe it to be from the Papua New Guinea area, based on other collections I have studied and curated in Museums that I have worked for, or consulted for.
Condition very good with age present. The top of the head looks complete to me but may have lost a crown....I have not seen this type of human form example
11 1/2 inches length x 1 inch diameter. Circa 1850.
