Meet Paul the Pug. He's only a puppy still and is very playful. He likes watching the rain out of the window and grumbling at any pigeons that dare to enter the garden. I've been asked to make dog beads for so long now.. so here you go.
Handmade in my little workshop in Northamptonshire from glass rods. Each rod is heated in a flame at 1200 degrees until molten. I then form each bead by layering colours and shapes to model little figures. I start with his body and legs before moving on to his head, ears and collar. Then he's completed with a snuffly nose and big eyes. Each bead is then fired in a kiln to anneal them, once fired they are hand cleaned ready for you to use.
This listing is for an individual bead, measuring approx 2-2.5cm tall. Each dog is slightly different and will be made to order. Every effort will be made to ensure your bead is a fair representation of the image shown. Each bead is made on a 1.6mm mandrel, giving an approximate hole of 1.8mm after bead release and cleaning is accounted for. Beads with larger holes can be made to order.
Whilst all of my glass beads are annealed in a digitally controlled kiln please avoid dropping them or knocking against tough things as afterall, they are still glass!
