Vintage Rose White Ashtray Victorian Kintsugi Porcelain Gold Trim Flowers
Chips been repaired using the kintsugi method as shown in the first six photos.
"Wikipedia defines Kintsugi as: Kintsugi or Kintsukurio is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, a method similar to the maik-e-technique. As a philosophy it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise."
This piece is for decorative purposes only and not to used for food. Do not use in the oven, microwave oven or dishwasher and only clean with warm water and a mild soap by hand.
This ashtray is in good vintage condition. There are some tiny pit marks on the ashtray. Some of the glaze on the bottom of the ashtray has worn off. It is 5.5" long and 4" wide at the widest point.
